Xiaomi has come out with its HyperOS 3 running on Android 16, and this new update brings a slurry of upgrades and updates for Xiaomi users. But what's interesting this time is that it seems like the Chinese smartphone maker has taken inspiration from its Cupertino-based rival, Apple. Xiaomi has confirmed that their new HyperOS 3 will come with a Hyper Island on top of the phone screen right where the camera module is, something that is very similar to what Apple has going on with its dynamic island.

Xiaomi has said that this new Hyper Island will show important notifications to the users, similar to what a Dynamic Island on Apple does, right near the punch-hole camera.

The Hyper Island will be expandable after the user taps on it, and you will also have the option to switch between different kinds of information you want displayed from the Island itself. Apart from that, it will also display charging speeds, music playback, voice recordings, calls, schedules, etc. Xiaomi has also given a glimpse of floating app windows that can be turned on via the Hyper Island.

Even though it has the same look and feel as Apple's Dynamic Island, this feature is sure to bring some much-needed convenience to its users. The ability to track apps and different schedules without entering the app specifically is what users are looking towards in this time and age.
