Why Is Apple Planning To Provide USB-C Port To Older iPhones?

There's a lot of doubt surrounding iPhones with Type-C ports because Apple, based in California, hasn't announced anything about utilising the new ports and discarding the Lightning port. If the claims are correct, Apple may be contemplating the change in response to a new European Union regulation that requires enterprises to install Type-C ports by 2020.

However, the smartphone maker is said to be introducing iPhone 15 series with Type-C ports first and will introduce previous models later, to comply with the new EU rules and regulations.
