Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim: There is not much time left for the Galaxy Unpacked event to unfold, and a few minor leaks here and there have already revealed what we can expect from the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Although, fans, enthusiasts and even the common buyers are looking towards the launch of the flagship series, the event could also present an opportunity for Samsung to introduce a new device to the public- the Galaxy S25 Slim.
This smartphone has been rumored to be the slimmest Samsung phone ever. New prototypes revealed by OnLeaks and SmartPrix give us a small preview of what the Galaxy S25 Slim might look like. Based on first look and its description these images look a lot like the already leaked images of Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus.
Firstly to begin with, it's hard to gauge how thin really the Galaxy S25 Slim would be as there is no exact reference in the leaked renders with which it can be compared. Currently, the Galaxy A8 is the slimmest Samsung phone, with a thickness of 5.9 mm. However, rumors suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim could be even thinner, measuring 159 x 76 x 6.4 mm (6.26 x 3 x 0.25 inches). While this would still be thicker than the A8, there's a chance it could surprise us upon its official release. It's also worth noting that, on paper, the S25 Slim is thinner than the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has dimensions of 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm (6.41 x 3.06 x 0.32 inches).
This also leads us to the fact that the Galaxy S25 Slim would be much easier to handle with one hand based on the dimensions. It also means that it would have the same size as the current Galaxy S24 Plus because the Slim version is expected to have a similar screen size of 6.7 inches. The only difference could be the thinner frame of the S25 Slim.
These renders seem to adopt a design language similar to the current Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, featuring flat bezels, rounded corners, and a comparable triple-camera setup on the back. This is worth mentioning, especially since the rumored iPhone 17 Air is expected to have just a single rear camera, unlike the S25 Slim. It seems Samsung is offering more in terms of camera options here.
Apart from the design leaks of the S25 Slim, the device is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite, Samsung’s One UI 7 on top of Android 15, and 12 GB RAM. It is expected to arrive sometime around May, which also means that it might just be teased this time at the Galaxy Unpacked event if the launch takes place at all.
With all this information that we have received before the Unpacked event, it is sure that this year's launch of the Galaxy S25 series will be packed with surprises, keeping aside the fact that we still do not know what we might get to experience this time. Whether the Galaxy S25 will be released or not is still unclear.
