Emojis have become an important part of conversations that we have across platforms. There are already over 3,500 emojis and new add-ons are made every year. In the latest update, Google seems to be making yet another interesting add-on by introducing Audio Emojis. This comes after a report from 9To5Google is rolling out the Audio Emoji in its native application for some users.

The report says that these audio emojis are stock sound effects attached to one of six different emojis. The list of add-ons includes

Clapping (Applause)
Laughing
Party
Crying (Trombone)
Poop
Sting (Ba Dum Tss)

The users can simply choose an emoji from six options including clapping, laughter, a party horn, crying, a poop emoji, and a drum emoji during a call. The Google Phone application will create a short animation and both the people on call will hear the sound.

As per the report, the feature is currently available under the latest beta update. The beta testers can find the new Audio Emoji section on the Settings Page. After the user turns it on, all the user needs to do is make a call to pick an emoji and play the sound on the receiver and dialer end.

The company has not officially stated when it will be released or if will it be available in stable versions of the Phone application. Since the Audio emojis seem to be fun, Google might roll out to the public in the coming weeks.

It will be interesting to see how Google will be implementing the feature on Android phones where it will be fun and useful as well. It also remains a mystery as to what Audio Emojis will be available if they roll out to the public.
