GOOGLE Pixel 7a is likely to launch in the Google I/O 2023 event, the dates of which were made official by the company recently. Before the launch, the key specifications of the handset has been leaked online. Tipster Debayan Roy shared the display, CPU, optics, and software specs of the phone on Twitter.

Pixel 7a Specifications (Expected)

According to Roy, the front of the 7a will be a 6.1 inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED panel. A centre punch hole like the flagship 7 series is expected to house the selfie camera. Under the hood, the phone is likely to have a Tensor G2 chip. The processor has been used in the Pixel 7 series for performance.

As far as storage goes, it will have LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage version. The phone is said to come with Android 13. Plus, it will support 5W wireless charging, according to Roy’s tweet.

Speaking of cameras, a 64 MP Sony IMX787 and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor on the back are expected. The flagship sensor is capable of capturing great shots. Details on the front camera are unknown at this moment.

The tipster further answered queries of Twitter users, in turn revealing extra details. The camera will have Optical Image Stabilisation, Roy clarified to a user. Pixel 7a seems to pack upgrades in refresh rate, cameras, charging tech and more from its predecessors, going by the current leaks.

Previous Leaks

Earlier leaks also reported that 7a shall be similar to the Pixel 7 in terms of design. Smartprix shared an exclusive video of the 7a in an article. The phone can be seen housing a similar camera module like the Pixel 7 with the Google logo in the centre. However, the bezels on the front are likely to be thicker than the flagship model.

Google I/O event packs in a lot of cool stuff ranging from Pixel devices to new software features and improvements. Pixel fans looking for the latest ‘a’ series phone are waiting for the phone. The May 10 event is expected to bring smiles to these faces.
