Google Pixel 9a Launch Today: The launch of Google Pixel 9a is just around the corner and this might be a game changer in the mid-range segment. The device might find a spot between the recently launched iPhone 16e and the Nothing Phone 3a if we are going to believe in rumours.
The launch is deemed to take place later today that is March 19 in the US so the date will be March 20 here in India. With all the rumours and leaks floating around the internet for a while now this new device is expected to bring some game-changing elements with it. To begin with we can expect a new tensor core, a bigger battery and camera upgrades this will probably shake up the market as another major tech giant will drop a device in the mid-tier section where already the competition is quite stiff. Now that we have a speculative idea of what the device might order let's take a look at its most expected specs and features.
Price Expectations
After Apple's latest iPhone 16e was unveiled which in my opinion fell short of touching the mark, and is not so much of an affordable iPhone at $599/Rs 59,900, we must tread carefully while speculating the price for this Google device.
But we can still expect it to land somewhere in the $500 mark, which would mean that buyers in the Indian market might have to shed Rs 50,000 for this, following up on its predecessor the Google Pixel 8a, which was priced at 52,999 for the 128 GB variant at its launch. Although some reports suggest an even lower price below Rs 50,000.
Google Pixel 9a Expected Specs And Features
The Pixel 9a is expected to feature Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. For added security, it may also include the Titan M2 chip.
In terms of design, the Pixel 9a will follow the aesthetics of the Pixel 9 series but with a more subtle camera bump. The phone is likely to sport a 6.3-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a crisp and fluid experience.
Let's talk about the camera this is one of the biggest changes the fans are expecting this time. A 48-MP primary shooter is expected this time for the rear camera setup, paired with an ultrawide sensor, making it a dual rear setup.
For dust and water resistance this device will likely have an IP68 rating, and the protection of Gorilla Glass 3 as well. The expected colourways according to rumours and leaks are Iris, Obsidian, Peony and Porcelain for the 128 GB variant and only Iris and Obsidian for the 256 GB variant.
In the battery department, the device is expected to sport a 5,100 mAh battery first for Pixel devices. This might be paired with a 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.
So with its launch just hours away stay tuned in as we bring you the latest updates.
