Google Play Store might soon add a Steam-Like public profile that will be displaying the gaming stats, milestones, recently played titles, and their progress. This will be quite helpful as it will compile the gamer’s experience, achievements and much more under a single hood. This will be a compilation on everything we know about it. Moreover, we will be discussing the features it will provide, its Global rollout, and somewhat about the privacy control.

Google is rolling out a major update to Play Games starting September 23, 2025, introducing Steam-inspired public gamer profiles for Android and Windows users.

The new Play Games profiles will display:

  • Gaming stats and milestones
  • Recently played titles and progress
  • Achievements and social features

These updated profiles will be integrated to Google Play directly, which will make it easy for the players to track their history and connect with other players around the world.

Users will be able see what games they have played, when they have played and how much they have progressed so far similar to Steam. Developers might also share the in-game activity so that these features by Google are more enhanced with their in-game activity data.

Privacy and Control

Google confirmed that:

  • Visibility settings remain intact – if your profile is public today, it stays public.
  • Players can hide specific data or keep everything private.
  • Users can delete their Play Games profile or their entire Google account at any time.

Global Rollout

  • September 23, 2025 → Launches globally
  • October 1, 2025 → Rollout for EU and UK (slight delay due to regional compliance)

With this update, Google is positioning Play Games closer to a social gaming hub, resembling Steam’s long-standing community features.
