GTA 6 has been the biggest buzz in the gaming community since its second trailer was dropped by Rockstar only recently. It shocked all its fans, and just after the trailer, Rockstar went even further and dropped some exclusive pre-release screenshots of the game itself. The second trailer came as a ray of hope for GTA fans, as Rockstar had announced a delay in its release, which would take yet another year.
Nonetheless, the trailer was exactly what fans wanted, and it looked amazing. The character details, the environment, and the interactions all felt much closer to reality. The second trailer became one of the highest-grossing videos in just a few minutes, and people took to social media to share their excitement as well as scepticism.
With that said, GTA 6 is not even out yet, and we have a handful of information only from the second trailer and a few screenshots; fans are going on about how good GTA 7 would be.
There was a comparison between GTA 6 and GTA 5 weapons, and definitely GTA 6 has a much higher graphical fidelity and looks better than its previous version. A tweet said, “Firearms in GTA 6 look so much better than they did in GTA 5; it’s not even close. Always despised how cartoony GTA 5 guns looked and sounded compared to GTA 4 and Red Dead, the new guns look fantastic and so realistic, they cooked” another fan replied to it by saying “The real question is: how beautiful GTA 7 will be?” lit up social media with reactions that ranged from hopeful to hilariously cynical.

Some fans aren’t buying into the early hype. “That sht not coming out till 2040 AT LEAST...” one user shot back. Another piled on with, “That will be 2050. I’ll be 60 and possibly a gramps by then.” Clearly, not everyone is holding their breath for the next title in Rockstar’s legendary series.

But while many are speculating about what GTA 7 could deliver, others are wondering if Rockstar should even go down that road again. A few fans are openly rooting for the studio to take a bold turn. “I honestly hope VI is the last GTA ever, want rock* to do something else,” one fan wrote. “I heard a rumor 4 years ago they might make a medieval game, how cool would it be.”
These mixed reactions speak volumes about the cultural hold GTA still has. The very idea of a sequel, even a purely theoretical one, is enough to spark passionate debate and curiosity. And although there’s no official word on GTA 7, Rockstar’s meticulous work on GTA 6 is giving fans a glimpse of what the future might hold.
Their attention to detail hasn’t gone unnoticed—especially when it comes to weapons. One fan summed it up by saying, “Firearms in GTA 6 look so much better than they did in GTA 5 it’s not even close. Always despised how cartoony GTA 5 guns looked and sounded compared to GTA 4 and Red Dead, the new guns look fantastic and so realistic, they cooked.”
With that level of refinement, fans can’t help but ask: if GTA 6 is this polished, how stunning could GTA 7 be?
There may be no updates or confirmation about GTA 7 just yet, but that hasn't stopped the speculation. Whether it’s excitement, scepticism, or calls for something entirely new, one thing’s clear—Rockstar still has fans dreaming, even years in advance.
