A massive turnout at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit 2026, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, is being witnessed with the presence of global technology leaders and industrialists as well as policymakers. Of all the firms in attendance, one of the standouts turned out to be Reliance Jio, not because it announced some flashy new AI product, but for its somewhat surprising approach to recruiting talent.
Reliance Jio Transforms Summit Floor Into Hiring Hub
The Chief AI Scientist at UK-based Reliance Jio, Gaurav Aggarwal, recently mentioned on X that he and his team will indeed be around the summit for the entire time, and it was an open invite to all kinds of engineering/research profiles within the AI community. Aggarwal has put a call out to developers focusing on frontier AI models, large-scale platforms and optimisation systems, noting that strong candidates may be accelerated into Reliance’s hiring pipeline.

That essentially made the summit location an unprotected zone for recruiting, an indication of Reliance’s urgency to lure top AI talent at a time when rivalling tech and telecom companies find it increasingly hard to woo experienced engineers worldwide.
A Wider AI Push at Reliance
The hiring spree is in line with the bigger artificial intelligence push of Reliance Industries, which is developing under Mukesh Ambani. In the past year, the group has laid out plans to develop AI systems specifically for India’s population scale and linguistic diversity.
Reliance introduced Reliance Intelligence in 2025, a platform for the creation of AI tools in multiple Indian languages and for use by businesses and consumers. The venture is being formed in partnership with world-leading technology partners such as Google Cloud, Meta and NVIDIA.

Reliance is also building an AI supercomputing infrastructure based on Blackwell GPUs and GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips as part of its cooperation with NVIDIA. These investments are intended to serve as a stepping stone to bring advanced AI technologies more widely available at affordable prices for sectors such as education, healthcare and agriculture.
Recruiting actively on the ground at one of the world’s most high-profile AI gatherings, Reliance Jio is making clear that it isn’t just looking to participate in India’s AI moment but to lead it.
