CHATGPT took the world for an AI ride after its release last year. While we have witnessed the integration of the language model in Windows and Android apps, get ready to witness the integration of OpenAI's product into a smartphone natively. We say this because, with the Infinix NOTE 30 series, the Chinese smartphone maker would integrate ChatGPT into its voice assistant - Folax, claims popular tipster Ice Universe.

Taking to Twitter, the leakster terms the development as "groundbreaking." A demo gives a glimpse of the revamped AI assistant in action. Folax can discuss technology, fashion and food with the user or answer any other query. It can share weather updates, set alarms, and more based on voice inputs.

Later in the clip, the operator of the assistant tasks the AI model to share advice for a gift they can give to their daughter who is a Disney fanatic. The AI returns a detailed response with three options.

Folax recommends gifting a "set of classic Disney movies on DVD or Blu-ray." Secondly, it suggests the user buy tickets to "Disney theme park or a Disney Broadway show" for her. Lastly, the voice assistant proposes that the user can check out Disney merchandise like a "plush toy or a piece of jewelry" having her beloved character. The conversational response is similar to what we expect from other AI models like Google's Bard or AI-powered Bing.

While OpenAI recently launched its official iOS app for users in India, the new integration could make AI more accessible with personalised for Infinix users. However, for the unversed, Folax will not be the first custom voice assistant on a handset. Apple's Siri and Samsung's Bixby have been on the scene for years besides Google Assistant.

Coming to the specifications of the phone, the Infinix Note 30 5G may have a 6.78 inch FHD+ 120Hz IPS screen, Dimensity 6080 CPU, XOS 13, 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, 108MP primary and 16MP + 2MP secondary lenses and JBL-tuned stereo speakers, according to Gizmochina. The handset will reportedly launch in India on June 14.
