Instagram Down: Meta-owned photo sharing platform is reportedly down and the users across the country and in the US are facing disruptions. Some users are facing login issues while some users are getting error messages while refreshing their feeds and some have complained about the server connection.
Update: Instagram seems to be working fine. The Downdetector graph is also showing a decline.
The users are seeing weird notifications saying ‘Something Went Wrong’ while others are facing service connection issues. According to Downdetecor over 2,000 users reported problems with Instagram out of which most reports were for Login and Server Connection.
Meta has not made any statement about the Instagram outage and it seems to be a minor technical glitch as the platform seems to be working fine now. However, the reason behind Instagram is still unknown.
Most of the users moved to micro-blogging X and some also found humour in the situation by sharing memes, opinions, trolls and videos trolling Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Instagram. A user even said ‘Instagram is no more’ and ‘Instagram is busy this festive season’.
This is not the first time Instagram has witnessed an outage. The platform has been consistent in facing outages majorly because of the server meltdowns. Previously in June, the platform users faced a similar outage. The users also saw messages , "Something went wrong. There's an issue and the page could not be loaded." The users complained about the reels, stories and photos not loading.
Here are some of the best memes surfacing over the internet.
