iOS 18 release date is still under the wraps but Apple is expected to introduce the iOS 18 beta version after Tim Cook’s keynote at the WWDC 2024 on June 10. Along with the release date, there are a lot of speculations about the iOS 18 features. As per the media reports, Apple may introduce AI in its native applications. Here are some of the features that may debut with iOS 18.

1. Siri

Apple may introduce the AI-powered Siri. This may happen as Apple is expected to collaborate with OpenAI and use GPT models. With this Siri may be able to do text generation, image generation and more. Siri is also expected to get smarter and help in some tasks with in-app functions.

2. Mail And Messages:

Just like Gmail, Apple may also introduce AI-generated responses to received emails. Similar to it, the Messages are also expected to get AI-generated responses along with suggestions. It may also get AI-generated custom emojis and even new Tapback icons. It may also get a message summarisation feature.

3. Safari:

Apple’s own web browser will also get AI-powered features and the users will be able to summarise entire articles, web pages and more.

4. Photos:

Just like Google, Apple may also introduce AI-powered editing tools including “Photo Retouch”, AI object eraser and more.

5. Notes:

iOS 18 would be making some AI tweaks in the Notes. It may get the ability to record or embed voice notes in between texts. Not only that, the users may also get the ability to transcribe voice into texts in real-time.

6. Home Screen And Notifications:

iPhones will be able to offer summarised notifications using the AI model. iOS 18 is also expected to come with the ability to rearrange the home screen and customise the colours of the app’s icons to red or all music streaming apps in green.

iOS 18 Release Date:

Apple has not announced the iOS 18 release date but it is expected to rollout in September with iPhone 16 series launch. According to the report, iOS 18 release date may fall between September 16 and September 26.
