iPhone 17 Air Leaks: Apple is gearing up to unveil the iPhone 17 series in the latter half of this year. The lineup is expected to consist of four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Air—also rumored to be called the iPhone 17 Slim—is likely to be Apple’s thinnest smartphone ever, replacing the ‘Plus’ variant. While past leaks have focused on the phone’s dimensions, a fresh leak provides more details about its total thickness, including the camera bump.

Materials, Pricing & Performance

A recent report suggests the iPhone 17 Air will feature a Titanium frame, while the standard iPhone 17, Pro, and Pro Max models will have an aluminum frame. Pricing for the Air model is rumored to fall between $1,299 and $1,500 (approximately ₹1,09,000 to ₹1,26,000).

Under the hood, the device is expected to run on either the A18 or A19 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM and Apple’s AI-powered Apple Intelligence features.

iPhone 17 Air: Thickness With Camera Bump

According to tipster Ice Universe on Weibo, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a 4mm camera bump, bringing the overall thickness to 9.5mm. This aligns with earlier predictions from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggested in January that the phone’s body would measure just 5.5mm thick without including the camera module.

Previously, reports indicated that the iPhone 17 Air could be 6.25mm thick, with dimensions of 163mm in height and 77.6mm in width. For comparison, the iPhone 16 measures 7.8mm in thickness.

Display & Camera Upgrades

The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to sport a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate and Dynamic Island. Camera upgrades include a 24MP front camera and a 48MP single rear camera. Connectivity is also expected to improve, with Apple reportedly using its own 5G and Wi-Fi chips.
