Jio WiFi-6 Launched In India: Reliance Jio has launched a new high-performance Wi-Fi 6 router in India — the Jio AX6000 Universal Router — for users looking for stable, high-speed internet in large homes and smart environments. The Rs 5,999 router offers dual-band connectivity, a maximum speed of 6,000 Mbps, and supports more than 100 devices at a time.

Built for Speed and Coverage

The Jio AX6000 doubles up 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under a single SSID, so users won't have to change networks when moving around their homes. The router provides speeds of 4,800 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1,200 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, giving a combined theoretical maximum of 6,000 Mbps — perfect for streaming 4K video, online gaming, or controlling a smart home system.

With Wi-Fi 6 technology, users can anticipate better coverage, more reliable connections, and lower latency — even with several connected devices.

AI Mesh and Smart Connectivity

Some of the most notable features of the AX6000 are Jio True AI Mesh support, which enables users to connect multiple AX6000 routers for seamless, unbroken Wi-Fi coverage of large areas. The router also has MU-MIMO and OFDMA technology for optimised handling of heavy traffic and the ability to sustain high performance on connected devices.

Equipped with a quad-core processor, the AX6000 is designed to provide smooth, lag-free performance. It also has upgraded LAN ports, which Jio asserts are four times faster than traditional ports.

Easy Setup, Broad Compatibility

The AX6000 is easy to set up — just connect it and go through the guided process on the JioHome app, which is supported on Android and iOS platforms. The router is IP over DHCP compliant and works with all ISPs — fibre, broadband, and DSL. But it is not IPPOE- and PPOE-config compliant.

Jio asserts the router has a coverage of about 2,000 sq. ft. and is suitable for big families or multi-room usage.

Availability and Warranty

The Jio AX6000 Universal Router is currently available on Jio's official website and other popular e-commerce websites. Customers will get a one-year warranty on the router and a six-month warranty on the power adapter.
