Reliance Jio has introduced a new postpaid plan for AirFiber and JioFiber users. The ultimate streaming plan is priced at Rs 888/month and offers up to 30Mbps data download speed. The key highlight of the plan is the availability of 15+ OTT subscriptions, which includes platforms like Netflix, Prime Video and more.
While the company claim the plan offers unlimited data, the usage is restricted to 1TB on AirFiber and 3.3TB on JioFiber due to the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), according to reports. At the time of filing, the plan is not available on the official website of Jio. Going by media reports, the plan is among the cheapest offerings of the company to ship with a host of OTT subscriptions.
Existing prepaid users can also upgrade (or downgrade) their plan to the new Rs 888 plan. The recharge benefits also include more than 800 digital TV channels. The telecom giant also bundled the 'IPL Dhan Dhana Dhan' offer with the new offering. With the benefit, buyers can take advantage of the 50-day voucher to access free internet for 50 days. This benefit will end on May 31.
Coming to OTT subscriptions, the plans come with Netflix (Basic), Prime Video (Lite), Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema Premium. Moreover, Sony LIV, Zee5, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Discovery+, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, DocuBay, EPICON and ETV Win (Via JioTV+) are also a part of the recharge plan.
Jio also offers a similar benefit plan priced at Rs 1,499 with download speeds of up to 300Mbps. The new Rs 888 plan aims to attract binge-watchers who are into serious content streaming and IPL fans who watch the contest at home. The new recharge comes after the JioAirFiber Plus Dhan Dhana Dhan Offers. You can read more on this here.
