JioTV+ App: Reliance Jio, a leading telecom service provider in India, introduced its JioTV+ app to expand Jio's TV experience to multiple smart TV platforms such as Android, Apple and Amazon's Fire OS. JioTV+ app was earlier limited to Jio's set-top box, which shipped with a JioFiber or Jio AirFiber connection. The company announced the 2-in-1 offer that allows users to connect two TVs to a single Jio AirFiber connection for a seamless entertainment experience, according to ANI.
Jio's press note said subscribers will get access to 800+ digital TV channels, ranging from over 10 languages and 20 genres across categories such as news, entertainment, sports, music, business and more. JioFiber and Jio AirFiber users can also stream content from 13+ OTT services such as JioCinema Premium, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Sony LIV, Hoichoi, SunNXT, Discovery+, Fancode, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, ETV Win, Eros Now, Alt Balaji, according to TOI.
The feature includes a single sign-in to access the complete JioTV+ content suite. It offers smart TV remote compatibility, smart filters for content and a smart guide to discover channels and programs. Plus, users can control the playback speed of on-demand content and watch previously aired shows with 'Catch-up TV'. Apart from personalised recommendations, JioTV+ also gets a 'Kids safe' zone.

JioTV+: Eligibility
The JioTV+ app will be available on the official app store on Android TV, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV platforms. Support for LG TVs will reportedly start rolling out soon. After downloading the app, you can enter the mobile number linked to your JioFiber or Jio AirFiber and authenticate via the OTP to enjoy the JioTV+ experience. However, the experience is only limited to select plans AirFiber and JioFiber.
Only Jio AirFiber, JioFiber Prepaid (Rs 999 and above plans) and JioFiber Postpaid (Rs 599, Rs 899 and above plans) are eligible to access the new app. Do note that you may have to install supporting apps separately to enjoy the OTT content bundled with the subscription.
