Jio has unveiled its new 'JioTV Premium Plans', which bundle benefits of up to 14 OTT apps and 2GB data per day. This update comes on the heels of the company's new JioCinema Premium tier introduced a few months ago in India. In the new plan, the bundled benefits include subscriptions to Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Video Mobile, and more.

The company has been expanding its footprint in the OTT space after winning the streaming rights of popular gaming events like the FIFA World Cup and IPL. These new plans can be seen as an attempt to further work in that direction and establish a wider presence in the entertainment arena.

Jio TV Premium Plans

Among the bundled subscription benefits of the plan include JioCinema Premium, Prime Video Mobile, Disney+Hotstar, SonyLIV, Zee5, Discovery+, Lionsgate Play, SunNXT, Docubay, Chaupal, Planet Marathi, EpicOn, Kanccha Lannka and Hoichoi. These can only be availed via a valid Jio SIM card. A total of three plan options are available for users.

Rs 398: The plan offers 28 days of validity with 2GB extra data/ day. Plus, the offering has 12 OTT services. The excluded subscriptions (from the above list) have not yet been shared by the telecom company.

Rs 1,198: The second plan offers a validity of 84 days and 2GB of data per day with 14 OTT subscriptions.

Rs 4,498: This plan offers a validity of 365 days and 2GB of data/day. You can avail of 14 OTT subscriptions with the plan. Also, buyers get priority customer support and an EMI payment facility with the plan.

These benefits will be up for grabs from December 16. Jio subscribers can also buy a data add-on of Rs 148 that offers 12 OTT apps and 10GB of data for 28 days.

Buyers can activate the Prime Video and JioCinema Premium subscription using the MyJio application. As for Disney+ Hotstar, it can be activated from the app using the registered Jio number. Access to content of other OTT apps is accessible within the JioTV app. These can be accessed from mobiles, tablets, laptops, TVs, and other streaming gadgets.
