Lenskart is taking a bold step into the world of wearable fintech. At the Global Fintech Festival (GFF) 2025, the eyewear company announced that its upcoming B Camera Smartglasses will support direct UPI payments, allowing users to make transactions without ever touching their phones.
How the Smartglasses Enable UPI Payments
The feature, called UPI Circle, lets users scan QR codes directly through the glasses’ built-in camera to complete payments. What makes it stand out is that no phone or PIN input will be required. Instead, the glasses connect securely to the user’s bank account, and payments are authenticated through voice commands — all handled by integrated AI and on-device security protocols.

In simple terms, a user could walk into a store, look at a QR code, say a command, and finish the payment in seconds — hands-free.
Lenskart’s Vision Behind the Move
“The role and use of smart glasses in our lives will continue to evolve, and payments are an important part of our daily activity,” said Peyush Bansal, Chairman, CEO, and Co-founder of Lenskart. “By integrating payments into the camera of smart glasses, we intend to make this a seamless form of payment.”
The B Camera Smartglasses combine a point-of-view camera, built-in AI features, and secure payment functionality into an innovative solution, creating an unprecedented combination of vision, intelligence, and commerce. Expected to launch within months.
