Linda Yaccarino, a former employee of NBC is all set to take charge of the micro-blogging platform Twitter from today, as Elon Musk aims to focus more on Tesla and SpaceX, says a report by The Wall Street Journal. Yaccarino has also hired her trusted advisor from the previous company to help her build the social media platform.
Who Is Linda Yaccarion, New Twitter Boss?
Yaccarino is a former NBC Universal Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships who has been with the company for over a decade. She was in charge of advertising sales. She previously worked with Turner Entertainment for almost 19 years, where she was responsible for growing ad sales for the Peacock streaming service. She received her degree in liberal arts and telecommunications from Penn State University.
Who Is Benarroch Who Was Hired By Yaccarion?
Joe Benarroch, executive vice-president of NBC Universal, has also been selected by Twitter CEO to work alongside her there. Benarroch has been Yaccarino's go-to advisor, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported late on Sunday.
"Tomorrow, I start a different professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focusing on business operations," Benarroch stated in the memo seen by WSJ. "I'm excited to bring my experience to Twitter and to collaborate with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together," he added.
Last month, Yaccarino stated that she is ready to construct Twitter 2.0 and alter the business alongside Musk and millions of platform users. "Your vision of a brighter future has long inspired me." "I'm thrilled to be a part of bringing this vision to Twitter and transforming this company together," she wrote on Twitter.
"I'm equally committed to the platform's future." Your input is ESSENTIAL to that future. I'm available for everything. Let's keep the conversation going and work together to construct Twitter 2.0," Yaccarino added.
