Apple, which has recently introduced the Apple Music Classical application to iOS, has now announced the availability of the music streaming service for Android users. Users can now download the application from Google Play Store.
For those unaware, Apple Music and Apple Music Classical are two different applications for iPhone users, and now the same pattern would be followed for Android users. The only difference between the two applications is that the Apple Music Classical handles metadata, says a report by 9to5 Mac.
By signing up for Apple Music or Apple One, users can access Apple Music Classical. The application has thousands of recordings that support spatial audio in addition to ad-free classical music recordings with up to 192 kHz/24-bit lossless audio. Currently, the app contains more than 5 million songs and more than 50 million data points with qualities of more than 20,000 composers, 115,000 distinct compositions, and 350,000 movements.
Apple announced intentions to release a classical music app in 2021 after purchasing the streaming service Primephonic. The iPhone originally got Apple Music Classical in March of this year. Notably, the optimised software for the iPad and Mac was released before the Android version of the app.
Meanwhile, Apple has announced that its My Photo Stream service would be discontinued from July 26 and all those who are still using this feature must switch to iCloud Photos before the above-mentioned date.
With the help of the free service My Photo Stream, users may access the most recent 1,000 photos from the previous 30 days on the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC.
On the other hand, Apple is all set for its WWDC 2023. As per the media reports, the company is expected to introduce the Mixed Reality headset along with the 15-inch MacBook Air and more.
