Microsoft has officially confirmed that it will be replacing the 'Xbox Live Gold' subscription with a new offering called 'Xbox Game Pass Core' on September 14. The company aims to provide an enhanced gaming experience for Xbox users with this new subscription plan.
What Is Xbox Game Pass Core?
The Xbox Game Pass Core subscription will include online console multiplayer, as well as access to a large collection of over 25 high-quality games, special promotions, and other benefits. In comparison, the Live Gold subscription only allows you to play two games per month. The greatest thing is that the Game Pass Core membership will cost the same as the Live Gold subscription in India, at Rs 349 per month.

What Will Happen To Existing Xbox Live Gold Subscriptions?
Microsoft has promised that existing Xbox Live Gold subscribers would be immediately upgraded to the Game Pass Core subscription when it becomes available. This implies that current Live Gold customers will be able to take use of the new plan's improved advantages and game selection at no additional cost.
Xbox Game Pass Friends And Family Subscription Discontinued:
Along with this change, Microsoft has announced the end of the 'Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family' preview subscription. The program will be examined beginning August 15 in order to investigate opportunities for a global launch. Primary account holders will no longer be able to add new members to their shared membership as a result.
Microsoft will begin issuing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes to both Primary and Secondary members on August 15. This gesture expresses gratitude for their participation in the program and provides them with continuing access to the extensive features of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
What Was Xbox Game Pass Friends And Family?
Users may join up to four friends and family members to the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family preview program, regardless of whether they shared the same household or not. Each member has their own Xbox profile and account, allowing them to store games, track achievements, and receive customised recommendations based on their tastes.
