Microsoft: AI has become the talk of the industry lately, with every big tech giant and even businesses trying to implement and integrate AI systems in their workflows and systems. Microsoft is no stranger to this and has its Copilot integrated across various processes. But this integration is not free from its own problems, and there has been a particular bug that has been bugging people for a while now in Outlook. Microsoft is now fixing an old bug in its Outlook Classic, in which the app crashed when users tried to draft an email using the company's AI suite, Copilot.

The issue appeared when users clicked on the Copilot pencil icon, which can be found in the email body, and gave it the prompt to draft a letter. Copilot would then display "Writing your email", but that would be the end of it, as it would then freeze and closed Outlook itself. Some users have expressed that Outlook would restart automatically after the crash had happened. This problem was akin to Outlook itself, as in other office apps, things looked just fine.

Microsoft 365 Update To The Rescue

After various complaints from users, Microsoft has finally addressed this bug in Outlook. With its latest Microsoft 365 update, the company has addressed the email issue, and the changelog confirms it, where Outlook crashed just after using Copilot's compose chat feature, which is used to write an email. So if you are someone who has had a similar problem in the past or is still facing it is recommended that you update your Outlook on your computer, and the issue will get resolved.

Other Smaller Issues Fixed

This is not the only thing that was bugging users, and Microsoft has fixed some other issues as well. Like the Help me Write button was not displayed correctly either, this new update also takes care of that problem, making the feature easier to access.

Although these are some small fixes, there are some more things that Microsoft has looked after, like the disappearance of the Copilot button in Outlook. Currently, Microsoft is working on improving the overall experience of Outlook. It has also got the Quick Parts feature, with that it is also expected that Microsoft will introduce a rule-based auto-reply feature sometime in the future.
