MICROSOFT, a US-based technology company that has recently integrated artificial intelligence services into the search engine Bing has now introduced a new feature preview that would allow users to create an image simply using the words. All a user needs to do is describe the image they want to see. The new feature is powered by an advanced version of Open AI’s DALL-E model. Additionally, the feature would be available on the Edge too.
Bing preview users have begun to receive Bing Image Creator integrated into Bing conversation, and English-speaking users of desktop and mobile devices worldwide can access it from the Image Creator icon in the sidebar of Microsoft Edge.
Also, the company announced that Image Creator would soon be accessible from the new Bing button in chat mode in the Edge preview version.
"Image Creator will construct an image from your imagination by putting in a description of an image, offering additional contexts such as place or activity, and selecting an art style. It's like having a creative copilot. Simply say 'draw an image' or 'make an image' as a prompt in chat to get started on generating a visual for a newsletter to friends or as inspiration for remodelling your living room," Microsoft stated in a blog post.
Bing is getting two new search capabilities, Visual Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0, in addition to the new image generator.
"We are also making Stories and Knowledge Cards 2.0 available to all Bing users to accommodate the rising demand for more visual search experiences," the company added.
Knowledge Cards 2.0 is an AI-powered infographic-inspired experience that provides quick access to interesting facts, and important information. It has been modified, according to the firm, to feature interactive, dynamic information such as charts, graphs, timelines, visual storytelling, and more.
