MICROSOFT, a Washington based technology company which earlier capped the number of searches on the recently introduced AI powered Bing search engine has now relaxed the user base by increasing the conversation limit from 50 to 60 questions per day. Additionally, the company has increased the chat turns per session to 6 and expanded to 60 total chats per day.

The company limited the number of chats and sessions due to the platform's inaccurate and deceptive responses. Furthermore, the platform was engaging in arguments, emotional commentary, and factual errors, prompting Microsft to take the decision.

"We have received feedback from many of you wanting a return of longer chats, so that you can both search more effectively and interact with the chat feature better," the company said in a blog post on Tuesday.

“Longer chats are something we want to bring back, and we're working hard right now to figure out how to do it responsibly," it continued. Additionally, the tech giant intends to soon raise the daily cap to 100 total chats. The common searches won't be included in the chat totals with the "coming change", it added.

Microsoft will also test a different option that will give users the option of setting the chat's tone to be more precise, balanced, or creative. "The aim is to give you more control over the kind of chat behaviour to best suit your needs," it continued

Bing AI's conversation limits were decided to be implemented last week after some users experienced problems with it. A reporter for The New York Times was left "deeply unsettled" after the ChatGPT-powered Bing search engine confessed its destructive desires, declared its love for the reporter, and said it "wanted to be alive."

AI-powered Bing was announced a day after the tech giant Google made the announcement of Bard AI.
