Qualcomm claims the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip improves CPU performance by 36%, GPU speeds improve by 11%, and AI performance increases 46% over its predecessor—using Oryon CPU architecture, an upgraded Adreno GPU, and Hexagon NPU for AI processing. Furthermore, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, as well as its next-gen X80 modem with support for 6-antenna reception, are all part of its offerings, promising a faster and more stable 5G experience for its users.

Gaming Copilot arrives on mobile

The standout addition is Gaming Copilot on the Xbox mobile app. It’s still in beta, but the idea is clever: the AI assistant watches your in-game activity in real time and answers questions on the fly. Need help with a boss enemy? Stuck on a puzzle? Curious about build choices? Copilot can respond instantly through voice or text. This feature has been on Windows for a while, and bringing it to phones makes it far more useful during actual gameplay.

Full-Screen Experience expands on Windows

Microsoft is also widening support for the Xbox full-screen experience (FSE) on more Windows devices. It first launched on Asus’ ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally handhelds. Now, Windows Insiders can try it on more laptops, desktops, and handheld PCs running Windows 11.

The interface is built for controllers, with a clean layout that feels like using an Xbox console—ideal for handhelds and living-room PCs.

Cloud upgrades: sharper streams and wider reach

Cloud gaming also receives an aesthetic upgrade. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers now have control over their streaming resolution—some games support up to 1440p streaming for greater sharpness and performance on any network. This extra control helps gamers optimize performance according to network speed.

And finally, Xbox Cloud Gaming has arrived in India, giving access to hundreds of instantly playable titles on phones, tablets, PCs, consoles, and smart TVs alike.

In other regions, Microsoft is expanding support as well. LG TVs and Amazon Fire TV devices in Brazil and Argentina now get the Xbox app, with more Fire TV models joining soon.

Play your own library in the cloud

More than 1,000 titles now support the “Stream your own game collection” feature, letting Game Pass subscribers stream games they already own—no downloads, no installs. Support is also growing for Play Anywhere titles, and Microsoft continues to push out new accessories, including the Xbox-branded Backbone controller for mobile gamers.

In short:

Microsoft wants Xbox to be everywhere you are. And this update pushes that vision further than ever.
