iPhone 17e: There is already a lot of excitement about the new devices that Apple is expected to launch sometime during mid-September, the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series smartphones, and fans and tech enthusiasts are all really stoked about it, but it seems that's not it. The Cupertino-based tech giant is also expected to refresh its product assembly somewhere in the first half of 2026.

What's on the table this time? Well, it is expected that Apple could launch new external displays for Mac, M5 chipset-based updated MacBooks, and versions of the iPad AI and the entry-level iPad.

Apple Plans Early 2026 Launch for Major Products, Including New MacBooks and iPads

Apple is reportedly pulling forward several product launches originally planned for late 2025. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company now intends to release multiple new devices in the first half of 2026—a move aimed at balancing revenue beyond the usual iPhone-driven sales season.

MacBook Pro and Air Prep for M5 Upgrade

Apple is getting ready to introduce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models based on the next-generation M5 chip. The refresh is said to precede a more dramatic redesign with OLED panels and overhauled chassis. The MacBook Air series is also rumoured to receive the M5 upgrade alongside the Pro models.

New External Display in Development

For the first time since 2022, Apple is reportedly developing a new Studio Display successor, code-named J427 internally. Although information is scarce, previous leaks indicate Apple has been designing high-resolution versions—up to 7K, potentially—to appeal to creators and professionals.

iPhone 17e and iPad Lineup Refresh

On the mobile front, Apple is set to launch the iPhone 17e, a budget-orientated follow-up to the iPhone 16e of this year. The phone will probably retain a familiar feel but utilise the new A19 chip. On the other hand, the budget iPads as well as the iPad Air are also set for upgrades, the Air of which is rumoured to use the M4 chip. These are set to drop sometime in March or April 2026.

Smart Home Hub Might Finally Be on the Way

Also in the works is Apple's much-touted smart home hub, which was shelved following delayed Siri updates. The product might arrive as early as 2026, and it could include close linkage to Apple Intelligence and broadening the firm's smart home platform.
