Sony PlayStation 5, the Japanese technology company's latest gaming console, will soon allow players to cloud game stream for chosen gaming games and is planned to offer this as a feature to the PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.

With this change, the company hopes to decrease the need to download games in order to stream them on other devices. By far, Sony allows customers to stream PS5 games to PCs, Macs, iOS devices, and Android smartphones, but it requires the console to act as the host in order to download the stream titles to other devices.

Nick Maguire, VP of global services, global sales, and business operations at Sony Interactive Entertainment said, "We're currently testing cloud streaming for supported PS5 games, which includes PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Game Trials, as well as supported digital PS5 titles that players own."

"When this feature launches, cloud game streaming for supported PS5 titles will be available to use directly on your PS5 console," he added.

Sony was clearly working on cloud streaming PS 5 games since the business published certain jobs indicating that Sony was seeking a cloud gaming push. Later, PlayStation chief Jim Ryan hinted at it by previewing some aggressive cloud gaming plans last month, but it turned out to be the recently launched Project Q, which supports Wi-Fi streaming directly from the console.

The business has not revealed any specifics regarding how its Handheld would support PS 5 cloud game streaming or not. Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida also suggested that the corporation is working on cloud gaming.

Meanwhile, the tech giant unveiled the first image of a brand-new portable device for playing PS5 games remotely over WiFi last month. The product will go on sale soon. The first official wireless earphones from PlayStation were also revealed, offering Bluetooth connectivity to cellphones and next-generation audio immersion to the PS5 and PC.
