Nothing Headphone 1 And Nothing Phone 3: UK-based tech brand Nothing, led by Carl Pei, is set to unveil its first over-the-ear headphones, called Nothing Headphone 1, on July 1. The launch will take place in India and other global markets and will coincide with the debut of the company's next smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3.

Carl Pei confirmed the launch date during his appearance at SXSW London on Thursday. The upcoming headphones mark Nothing’s entry into the over-ear segment, building on its existing lineup of audio products, which includes several true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones and the recently launched open-ear Nothing Ear (a) headphones. Known for their transparent designs, Nothing’s audio devices have gained attention for blending aesthetics with functionality.

The company first confirmed it was working on over-the-ear headphones last month, and a model number, B170, was spotted earlier this year, further hinting at their development.

While full specifications are still under wraps, Nothing engineers have revealed that the new headphones will feature a unique design with distinct tactile buttons, making them easier to operate while wearing.

Leaker Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin) claimed earlier this month that the Nothing Headphone 1 will be available in black and white colour options by the end of September. He also reported a retail price of $299, which is approximately Rs 25,700 in India.

Back in 2022, Carl Pei shared a link to a conceptual design of over-ear headphones created by an independent artist. That design, also in black and white, could provide clues to the aesthetic direction the company may take.

With less than a month to go before the official launch, anticipation is building around what Nothing will deliver in its first venture into the over-ear headphone market.
