Nothing Phone 3a Launch: The Nothing Phone 3a series is set to launch on March 4, and ahead of the big reveal, Nothing has dropped a teaser that’s gotten everyone talking. The company shared a sneak peek of the phone’s side profile, and there’s one feature that stands out: a new button just below the power button. Of course, this has led to all kinds of speculation about what it could actually do.

The most popular theory? That it’s a dedicated camera shutter button, something like the Camera Control button on the iPhone 16. From what we can see in the teaser, it seems like a quick press might open the camera, while pressing it again could snap a photo. Nothing hinted at this idea with their post on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "Your second memory, one click away. Power in Perspective. 4 March 10:00 GMT."

While the camera idea seems to be the front-runner, some fans are wondering if the button could actually have other uses. One guess is that it could be an alert slider, similar to what we’ve seen on OnePlus phones in the past. Others think it might be a multi-purpose button—like the iPhone’s Action Button—which can be customized for things like muting your phone, turning on the flashlight, or opening the camera.

Another possibility is that this button could have something to do with the phone’s voice assistant, especially since Nothing’s been making a big push toward AI this year.

Of course, this is all just speculation for now. We’ll know for sure when the Nothing Phone 3a series is officially revealed on March 4.
