One UI 8: Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8 beta based on Android 16, and early signs point to some serious enhancements for mobile gamers. The company’s Game Booster app, which is designed to optimize gaming performance on Galaxy smartphones, is set to receive a series of new features that take gameplay to the next level.
One of the most talked-about additions is a feature called Max boost. This setting is expected to push the phone's performance limits during gaming sessions, even if it means increased battery usage and heat generation. While the technical specifics aren’t fully clear yet, the feature appears to focus on maximizing power for demanding titles.
The upcoming update was first spotted by a user known as @GalaxyTechie, who analyzed version 7.0.51.13 of the Game Booster app within the One UI 8 beta. Alongside Max boost, several other features seem to be in the works.
A new function called AI Mute is designed to detect when a game is running and automatically manage audio—either by muting or adjusting the volume based on what's happening. Another feature, Respawn Timer, displays a floating countdown on the screen, helping players keep track of when they can re-enter gameplay. So far, this feature appears to be tailored specifically for the game Honor of Kings.
Samsung is also preparing to introduce Dash notifications, which allow alerts to momentarily appear and then disappear as they move across the screen—helping reduce distractions during gameplay. The Super Microphone feature may let the device's mic work within a game, even if another app is using it simultaneously.
For multiplayer enthusiasts, a voice changer could let users alter how they sound in voice chat, offering effects like robot or sci-fi horror styles. There’s also talk of Bluetooth microphone support, which could improve audio quality during in-game conversations.

Two more features—4D Vibration and Virtual Gamepad—are mentioned, though their functions haven’t been fully detailed yet. These additions suggest Samsung is aiming to deliver a more immersive and customizable gaming experience through software enhancements.
As the One UI 8 beta continues to roll out, Galaxy users can expect a more powerful and tailored gaming experience, with Game Booster evolving into a full-fledged toolkit for mobile gamers.
