OnePlus 12 series, one of the highly anticipated flagship series, has already created buzz in the tech industry. Now the company is seemingly preparing the Oneplus 12R launch. In the latest report, the company is said to offer the last generation Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset in its sub-flagship smartphone. This comes after a tipster said that the OnePlus 12R will have significant upgrades over the predecessor.
OnePlus 12R Expected Specs:
The OnePlus 12R is said to get an enhanced display with an improved peak brightness which is speculated to be around 3,000 nits, double that of the OnePlus 11R. Under the hood, the OnePlus 12R will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip while the OnePlus 11R will get the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone is said to be more optimised, performance-oriented, efficient and gaming-oriented. Further, the battery of the device is said to be bigger maybe around 5,500 mAh and has better fast charging support.
Speaking of the optics, the smartphone is said to get a 32 MP telephoto lens with a 2x zoom option. Not only that, it will also get an improved macro lens if compared to the OnePlus 11R.
The reports also suggest that the OnePlus 12R could be a rebranded version of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 as the previously tipped specifications are quite similar to the OnePlus 12R. However, the company has not announced any official launch date of the smartphone but it is expected to be launched in early 2024.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12, the flagship smartphone, is said to draw its power from the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 along with an improved periscopic lens with 3x optical zoom support. Further, it is said to bring along a 144 Hz refresh rate panel along with 24 GB RAM.
