OnePlus 13, the next-generation flagship smartphone by the Chinese smartphone-maker is all set to make its debut in the home country this month. The smartphone is touted to get a variety of upgrades especially in terms of performance, features, camera and design. While there are no official details available, the smartphone is expected to be the first smartphone to launch with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
This comes after the popular chip maker has shared a teaser of the upcoming Snapdragon Summit teasing the arrival of a new Snapdragon chipset. The teaser confirmed that the upcoming device will have Oryon cores which is the same architecture used in Snapdragon X chips that power the latest Copilot+ PCs. The new cores will offer better performance and efficiency.
The teaser also showcased a device with a circular camera module carrying the new chipset. If compared, it seems to be the same design as the renders of the OnePlus 13 floating online. OnePlus offers a signature camera module housed in the top-left corner which resembles the predecessors.
Unofficial confirmation from Louis Lee, the President of OnePlus China as he reshared the Snapdragon 8 teaser hinting that the OnePlus 13 could be the first phone to get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. For those unaware, the Snapdragon chipset will be launching on October 22 during the Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Hawaii. Other phones including the iQQO 13, Samsung S25 Ultra are also expected to launch with the new chipset.
Speaking of the OnePlus 13 expected specifications, the device can get 6.82-inch LTPO BOE X2 micro quad curved OLED display with 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to come with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Speaking of the camera, the OnePlus 13 may come with a 50MP triple camera setup with a 3x optical zoom option.
