OnePlus has finally launched the OnePlus 15 in India, presenting its new flagship driven by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chipset. As a sequel to the OnePlus 13, the phone jumps right into the premium segment, exactly where the iPhone 17 rests. With both phones targeting the same segment, comparisons become inevitable. Here's how the OnePlus 15 compares with Apple's latest iPhone 17 in terms of pricing, display, performance, camera hardware, and value.
OnePlus 15 vs iPhone 17: Price in India
The OnePlus 15 starts at ₹72,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The higher 16GB + 512GB model is priced at ₹75,999. Buyers can choose between Ultra Violet, Sand Storm and Infinite Black finishes.

Apple’s iPhone 17, on the other hand, commands a higher price. The base 256GB model starts at ₹82,900, while the 512GB variant climbs to ₹102,900. It is available in white, black, sage and mist blue.
Display Comparison
OnePlus continues to push high-refresh-rate displays, and the OnePlus 15 comes with a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel capable of hitting 165 Hz. It delivers 1800 nits of peak brightness and runs on OxygenOS 16.
The iPhone 17 features a smaller 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield 2 protection. Its refresh rate ranges from 1Hz to 120Hz, which helps with battery efficiency but doesn’t match OnePlus’ 165Hz ceiling.
Battery and Performance
OnePlus makes a bold move with a 7300mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Apple doesn’t reveal battery capacity but claims up to 30 hours of video playback. The iPhone 17 supports Qi and Qi2 wireless charging and can fast-charge with 20W–40W adapters (sold separately).

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 uses the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, targeting gaming and sustained performance. The iPhone 17 counters with Apple’s A19 Bionic chip, focusing on stability, real-world efficiency and tight hardware-software integration.
Camera Showdown
The OnePlus 15 packs a triple-50MP rear camera setup, including a Sony IMX906 primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. It also features a 32MP selfie camera.
The iPhone 17 offers a cleaner dual-48MP rear setup—one primary lens and one ultrawide—along with an 18MP front camera. Apple's imaging strengths traditionally come from processing rather than sensor count.
Dimensions, Features and Verdict
The OnePlus 15 is larger and heavier at 215g, while the iPhone 17 weighs 177g. Both phones support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.0. AI comes from two different ecosystems: Apple Intelligence on the iPhone and Gemini AI plus Plus Mind on the OnePlus.

Choosing between the two ultimately depends on whether you prefer iOS or Android. The iPhone 17 is strong in design, camera reliability and privacy, while OnePlus offers a bigger battery, faster charging and a higher refresh rate. Both sit firmly in the premium category—just with different strengths.
