Oppo has introduced the Oppo Pad 5 tablet in India. The tablet launched alongside the Oppo Reno 15 series is a mid-range Android tablet primed for good display quality, strong battery life and extended software support. It offers a big 12.1-inch screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset and has a hefty 10,050mAh power pack with fast charging. The Oppo Pad 5 is up for pre-orders now and will be on sale later this month via Flipkart and Oppo’s own online store.
Oppo Pad 5 Price in India and Availability
The Oppo Pad 5 only comes in one variant, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is available at Rs 26,999 for the Wi-Fi-only model, while that of the Wi-Fi + 5G variant has been kept at Rs 32,999.
Anticipated users are free to pre-order the tablet, which will be up for sale in India from January 13. Buyers can opt for Aurora Pink and Starlight Black colour options.

Display and Design
The Oppo Pad 5 packs a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution of 2800 x 1980 pixels. The screen also has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a touch sample rate of 540 Hz, so it’s equally good whether you’re looking at media or trying to get work done. There’s allegedly a peak brightness of 900 nits, with 98 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage to match.
As for dimensions and weight, the tablet comes in at 266 x 192.8 x 6.8 mm and weighs roughly 599 g, making it relatively slim given its screen real estate and battery size.
Performance and Software
The Oppo Pad 5 is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor in the engine room. It is coupled with 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. There is an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for graphics.
Software-wise, the tablet ships with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, making it one of only a few in its price range to come with the newest version of Android from the get-go.

Cameras and Multimedia
For photography and video calls, the Oppo Pad 5 features an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a wide 77-degree field of view. There is another 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The two cameras are able to record 1080p video at 30 fps.
The tablet also has stereo speakers, designed to offer a premium experience for streaming, gaming and video calls.
Battery and Connectivity
Another big highlight of the Oppo Pad 5 is its gigantic 10,050 mAh battery. Oppo has included 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging in this tablet, so we can expect the big battery to not result in longer waiting times during charging.
Connectivity comes in the form of Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port. The tablet also offers a comprehensive range of sensors, such as an ambient light sensor, colour temperature sensor, accelerometer (G-sensor), e-compass, hall sensor and proximity sensor.
Featuring a big screen, the latest software and a large battery, the Oppo Pad 5 is filled with enough niches to cater for anyone who wants an Android tablet to watch stuff on, learn things from or get some light work done every day.
