OnePlus has now started offering its newest Android skin built on Android 16 dubbed OxygenOS 16 to OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R smartphones. The update offers an elegant and expressive design, new AI features, and improved overall system performance. OxygenOS 16, inspired by Google’s Material You Expressive design language, features dual themes: “Breathe With You”, which offers inner equilibrium, and “Thrive With Free Expression”, which allows customisation and expressive freedom.

A New Visual and Functional Upgrade

OxygenOS 16 brings a refined design language and new system animations powered by Parallel For new updates, OxygenOS 16 will implement new animations with Parallel Processing 2.0. Interface design will have a refill; the remaining features will not change. Android 16 will also incorporate the use of softened edges and translucent layers, Gaussian blurring for the Home screen, App Drawer, and Quick Settings, and blurring to maintain the smooth premium polish look.

Adaptable app folders and multitasking windows will change to suit user needs. Floating windows, improved tablet support, Open Canvas, and multitasking will be more flexible. Flux Theme 2.0 adds new features, and Widgets will allow updated information to be in real time.

Smarter AI and Real-Time Features

Fluid Cloud is one of the most exciting new features. It locks the screen and shows live updates, like the status of food orders, sports scores, and calendar reminders. Plus, Mind is an upgraded AI companion, now used in OxygenOS 16. It allows users to save long-form content, record voice quick notes, and share media.

This release enhances OnePlus's border on AI-powered personalisation as the company strives for faster, smarter and more intuitive interactions in personalisation.

How to Install OxygenOS 16

To install the OxygenOS 16 update:

1. Open Settings → Software Update on your device.

2. Tap Download and Install when the OxygenOS 16 update appears.

Make sure that your device has 30% battery and a stable Wi-Fi connection to complete the download without interruptions.

With the new OS on the One 13 series, One Plus balanced personalisation, AI integration, and Performance. The new OS and One 13 series are more responsive, intelligent, and visually pleasing.
