Google Pixel 9 Series Launch Date: The tech giant has already announced the Made by Google 2024 date. Google Pixel 9 series along with Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be launching on August 14. In the latest update, a report claims that all the Pixel 9 series devices will not get Android 15 and will come running on Android 14 out-of-the-box.

According to Android Headline, the Pixel 9 series, which includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, will receive Android 15 via OTA update after the launch. While Android 15 beta versions with new features are currently available, stable updates have been delayed since they are not yet completed, the report stated.

For those who are unaware, the Android 14 update was also delayed owing to bugs, and given that Google is introducing the Pixel 9 series two months sooner, the claim makes sense. Google released the Pixel 8 series in September of last year. Further, the report clearly stated that the first few devices that will arrive in the first few days after the launch will come with Android 14 and the devices purchased later may come with Android 15.

However, Google has not made any official statement about the Android 15 release date or the confirmed Pixel 9 series lineup. All we know is, Google will be introducing the Pixel 9 series in India on August 14.

The speculations also claim that Google will offer 7 years of software support along with security patches, just like the Pixel 8 series. Not only that, the Pixel Drop features will also be available on their devices.

A recent leak also suggests that the Pixel 9 will come with 128GB storage as standard and will be offered with up to 256GB storage. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will come in four variants like Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra including 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
