Google, with its quarterly feature drop update has introduced a series of new features, including Cinematic wallpapers, a new home panel, speaker labels, adaptive charging, and more. The company also mentioned that it has introduced a new feature drop with helpful tools for all phones, watches, and Fitbits.
Here is everything you need to know about the June Pixel Drop 2023:
1. Cinematic And Emoji Wallpaper
The all-new feature for Pixel 6 and newer models allows users to convert a regular photo into a dynamic 3D scene with the help of AI. All users have to do is set an image as wallpaper and press on the right corner of the screen to activate the cinematic effect.
Google is also releasing an emoji wallpaper with Android 14, which allows users to select emoji from the keyboard picker and adjust the zoom density using a slider.
2. Macro Focus Video And Palm Timer
The company is also introducing a Macro Focus setting for users who enjoy shooting videos with tiny details. With this move, the company also introduces autofocus on ultrawide lenses and the ability to snap close-up stills with a 3 cm difference. The feature would be exclusive to the flagship Pixel 7 Pro and would not be available in other apps or modes.
The business has included a selfie timer in the Google Camera app for the Pixel 6 and other devices. The feature is already available for the Google Pixel Fold and is useful for taking selfies.
3. Safety Features
Google, as promised, has introduced Emergency Sharing through voice with the Pixel Drop. Users can now use Google Assistant to initiate a Safety Check. It might be beneficial for those who do not feel safe strolling at night. It can also allow users to share their current location.
Car Crash Detection, which functions similarly to Apple's Crash Detection, has also been released for some regions.
4. Adaptive Charging
Google announced that the phones would use artificial intelligence to assist increase battery life by forecasting charging sessions based on historical usage. However, the feature may not function because each user has a unique charging pattern.
