The smartphone world is gearing up for the most hyped phones of the year - the iPhone 15 series next month. While they have undergone massive churning by the rumour mill and got Apple fans excited, the Android landscape is equally fascinating. Phone manufacturers like Google and OnePlus will likely launch their new premium smartphones.

The search leader will likely bring upgrades to its Pixel 7 series in October in the form of the new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices. Media reports have reaped enormous details about the device. Secondly, OnePlus may enter the foldable phone market with its OnePlus Open to challenge Samsung in subsequent months.

Apple iPhone 15 Series

Apple's upcoming iPhone series will reportedly go official on September 12. Speaking of the non-Pro models, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus may come with Dynamic Island this time, a nice addition compared to the latest iPhones. Secondly, the models may sport a 48MP primary camera and A16 Bionic chip for performance.

Moving to the Pros, the company might switch to a titanium frame. The 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will likely have a periscope lens on the rear and A17 Bionic processor. The price of the 'Pros' could also rise by a significant margin, reports have tipped. All models of the upcoming iteration will likely get a USB Type-C port for charging. Lastly, reports claim the company could rebadge its top-end trim (iPhone 15 Pro Max) to iPhone 15 Ultra this time.

OnePlus Open

Earlier, the company's maiden foldable was tipped to launch in August. But, it got delayed due to changes in the display. OnePlus Open (as it may be named) may sit in the sub 1.2 lakh price bracket, tipster Yogesh Brar tipped. The book-style device may have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. However, it is unclear whether the phone will launch in India.

Google Pixel 8 Series

For photography enthusiasts looking for a new premium device, the Pixel 8 series could be worth the wait. The smartphones are tipped to have a Tensor G3 chipset and offer a 50MP primary lens. Further, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is tipped to have temperature monitoring sensors. The Pro model might have a flat display this time, which comes as a piece of bad news for curved display fans.
