Video streaming giant YouTube announced its Playables features for Premium accounts recently. With the new option, users can play games on YouTube without the need to exit the app or download an additional package. It is available for Android, iOS and desktop users. According to the official YouTube page, this experiment will be live for users until March 28.

These games can be shared easily, and apart from the current lineup, the company is expected to introduce more titles in the future. Once you have purchased YouTube Premium or are a subscriber to the paid service, here are the steps to start playing games on the app.

YouTube Playables: How To Play Games?

Step 1: Open the YouTube app on your smartphone or head to the website of the platform on the web

Step 2: Now head to 'Settings' from here and tap on 'Try new features' or click on 'Your Premium benefits' on the website

Step 3: Now activate 'Play games on YouTube' by tapping or clicking 'Try it out'

Step 4: Head back to the home tab and tap the 'explore' icon at the top

Step 5: Find 'Playables' and start playing games

Within the hamburger icon on the top left, you can explore all the games within the 'Playables' tab. Among the games available within the tab are State.io, 8 Ball Billiards Classic, Daily Crossword, Daily Solitaire, Carrom Clash, Basketball FRVR, Angry Birds, Scooter Extreme and more (a total of 37) and do not require external downloading. It is unclear when the feature will debut for free or non-premium accounts on YouTube.

These games are available in the Home and Browse sections. While the Home tab packs popular titles, you can explore the list from the Browse tab. The titles maintain a personal leaderboard to track the top score. If you wish to know more about the features, head to this report.
