CHINESE smartphone company POCO is gearing up to launch the POCO F5 5G phone in India on May 9 with a segment-first 12-bit display that holds the potential to produce a whopping 68.7 billion colours. Besides POCO India teasing snippets from its specs sheet, the rumour mill has furnished nearly everything about the upcoming handset.

POCO F5 5G Expected Specifications
POCO F5 will likely have a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel, according to reports. For immersive multimedia viewing, the handset would sport Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision with adaptive HDR. POCO India has confirmed that it will have a chin of 2.22mm. Under the hood, it will have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 for performance.
POCO claims it has an AnTuTu score of 969,903. The company has said the POCO F5 will have 14 graphite layers to ease heat dissipation. Speaking of storage options, it could come in two RAM options - 8GB and 12GB and a single 256 storage variant, according to tipster Yogesh Brar. The phone will likely run MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Plus, the phone could have a 5,000mAh battery that may support 67W fast charging.
The company has confirmed the phone will sport a 64MP primary camera. As for secondary optics, it might have an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP lens on the back. As for selfies, the F5 may debut with a 16MP camera inside the notch. As for connectivity options, it will likely sport Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.
POCO F5 Expected Price
Reports have hinted that the phone could be available at a similar price bracket as its predecessor. The POCO F5's price could likely be under Rs 30,000, which may decrease after offers and discounts. Brar tips it will compete with the OnePlus Nord 3. The much-hyped phone will finally hit the floors on May 9, 5:30 PM globally. For the unversed, the upcoming POCO phone will be an upgrade to the current POCO F4 mobile.
