Qualcomm has finally introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the flagship smartphones. Touted as the world’s fastest mobile chipset is the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will be used in the next-generation flagship devices.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite includes industry-leading technology such as the second-generation custom-built Qualcomm Oryon CPU, Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and upgraded Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, all of which result in significant performance improvements. These breakthroughs enable AI-powered applications and enhancements in critical mobile areas such as photography, gaming, and browsing. Qualcomm's AI-ISP (Artificial Intelligence Image Signal Processor) also improves camera performance, resulting in a more fluid photographic experience.

Speaking at the summit, Chris Patrick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Handsets at Qualcomm Technologies, "We are so excited to bring the power of Qualcomm Oryon to our Snapdragon mobile platforms for the first time. Earlier this year, we debuted it in PCs, delivering remarkable experiences and unparalleled battery life. Today, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform brings that same game-changing technology to smartphones."

Which Devices Are Confirmed To Get Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset?

Smartphones like iQOO 13, OnePlus 13, Xiaomi 15 along with Realme GT 7 Pro and Honor Magic 7 series are confirmed to get the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The Realme GT 7 Pro is expected to be the first device to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will be followed by the iQOO 13.

Samsung may not use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. As per the reports, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will get a flagship MediaTek Dimensity chipset.
