Qualcomm has finally introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset for flagship phones succeeding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The new chipset comes with a variety of enhancements related to the performance, camera, artificial intelligence and more. Here’s everything you need to know about the new chipset.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 AI Driven:
The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3's remarkable 3.5x acceleration is up to three times faster than previous thanks to the Qualcomm AI Engine. This guarantees optimal productivity by enabling the newest AI-driven experiences and apps while preserving system responsiveness. The new chipset will offer variety of use cases from image processing capabilities to speech recognision to accepting text, images using Meta’s Llama 2.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Performance:
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a single main core that runs at up to 3.3 Ghz, resulting in lightning-fast and efficient processing rates. It can handle multitasking thanks to an outstanding system-level performance improvement of up to 30%. This results in a remarkably smooth and responsive user experience. Furthermore, this improved performance does not come at the expense of battery life. Users can benefit from a 25% increase in energy efficiency over its predecessor.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Camera:
The chipset manufacturer offers an improved Image Signal Processor (ISP) with Dolby HDR Photo Capture for images. Gamers can soon anticipate phones with 240 frames per second on 240 hertz screens and an Adreno graphics processing unit (GPU) that is 25% quicker and 25% more efficient—all thanks to Ray Tracing technology.
Xiaomi 14 could be the first phone to hit the market with the new chipset and is scheduled to launch on October 26. It will be followed by the iQOO 12 series and Vivo X100 series.
