Realme is expanding its ecosystem lineup in India with two new products set to debut on May 22 alongside the Realme 16T 5G. Ahead of the launch event, the company has started teasing key details about the upcoming Realme Buds Air 8 Pro and Realme Watch S5, revealing a heavy focus on AI features, long battery life, and premium hardware upgrades.

The Realme Buds Air 8 Pro is shaping up to be the brand’s most feature-loaded TWS offering yet. The earbuds will support up to 55dB active noise cancellation along with a 5,000Hz ultra-wide noise reduction range. Realme says the earbuds use dual DAC drivers and support Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification as well as the LHDC codec for high-quality wireless audio streaming. Users will also get support for 24-bit audio depth, 192kHz sampling rate, and transmission speeds of up to 1Mbps.

For calling, Realme is introducing a six-microphone setup paired with a bone-conduction voice sensor to improve voice pickup. The company claims the earbuds can reduce wind interference even at speeds of up to 10m/s. AI-backed call noise reduction and high-bitrate voice recording are also part of the package.

Apart from audio upgrades, the Buds Air 8 Pro will include adaptive ANC, 3D spatial audio, personalised sound tuning, and a 45ms low-latency gaming mode. One of the standout additions is live translation support for over 30 languages through the Realme Link app, alongside AI-powered question-answering features powered by Next AI.

Battery life is rated at up to 12 hours on a single charge, while the charging case can extend total usage up to 50 hours with ANC turned off. However, enabling ANC and LHDC audio reduces the total battery backup to around 20 hours. The earbuds will also support triple-device connectivity, touch controls, and come with an IP55 dust and water resistance rating. Realme has confirmed Master Black and Master White colour options.

On the smartwatch side, the Realme Watch S5 will feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 resolution, 1,500 nits peak brightness, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The display will support always-on functionality as well as Smart Night Vision for improved visibility in darker environments.

Realme says the Watch S5 can deliver up to 20 days of battery life on a single charge. Fitness tracking remains a major focus, with support for over 110 sports modes and built-in GPS that works independently without requiring a smartphone. The smartwatch supports five satellite positioning systems for route tracking.

Health tracking features include heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep analysis, menstrual cycle tracking, and ambient noise alerts. The Watch S5 will also offer AI-powered assistance, smart voice replies, app connectivity, customisable watch faces, and call relay support.

In terms of design, the smartwatch features a ceramic-textured rear panel and a triple-button layout with a rotating crown. It weighs 32g and measures 11.8mm in thickness. Realme will offer the Watch S5 in Rock Grey and Sand White colour variants.

The company is expected to reveal official pricing and availability for both products during the May 22 launch event.
