Chinese smartphone maker Realme will launch the Realme GT5 smartphone on August 28 in its homeland, the company confirmed via a Weibo post. The company is celebrating its fifth anniversary and will also introduce two audio products - Realme Buds Air 5 and Buds Air 5 Pro in the same event.

According to GSMArena, the device will sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In another series of leaks, the front of the phone was leaked by Digital Chat Station. The handset is visible with trimmed-down bezels and a centre-punch hole camera. On the back, it could have a camera island similar to the Google Pixel phones. Realme GT5 Specifications Expectations

According to reports, the phone may sport a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. As for memory, it may offer up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The GT5 will likely run on Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. Coming to the battery, the handset may come in two variants: 4,600mAh battery with support for up to 240W charging; 5,000mAh battery with 150W charging.

As for the optics, the handset may have a 50MP primary OIS and 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lenses on the back. On the front, it could sport a 16MP front camera. Speaking of connectivity, it will likely have an IR Blaster. The device may have an X-axis haptic motor. A reader must note that these are not official specs and may differ from the actual product.
