Reddit, a well-known social media platform, has now rectified an issue that caused search error rates to rise dramatically for around three hours. Early Tuesday, the company recognised the issue and stated that it is researching and working on it; after an hour, the company announced that the issue has been resolved.
It posted about an hour later, "Monitoring: A fix has been implemented, and we are monitoring the results." The site stated in an update, "Resolved: This incident has been resolved."
According to the online outage monitor website Downdetector, 60 per cent of people reported issues with the application, 31 per cent with the website, and 9 per cent with the server connection.
However, The Verge reported that the search was not totally broken and was working fine with some users. They are also able to see some suggestions but not all. For example, if the user searched about the iPhone, there must be a lot of suggestions but the Verge witnessed a message “there doesn’t seem to be anything here.”

While several users taking to Twitter trolled Reddit, shared memes, posts, and their opinions on the fix.
Several Twitter users reported the problem. While one user posted, "is Reddit down?", another said, “Please, not again”.
The problem that was leading the social discussion platform to count active users incorrectly had been resolved earlier this month. The site had a temporary downtime last month due to protests on subreddits against the company's new application programming interface (API) pricing increases. The issue that caused issues with content loading had been resolved by the company.
