The Redmi Note series has been one of the most popular models due to its powerful features, best-in-class design, and affordable price tag. Xiaomi's Redmi has now released the newest Note 13 series, promising top-of-the-line performance while remaining affordable. However, the Redmi Note 13 series has seen a price hike and now touches the Rs 35,000 mark. We recently received the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus and here is our review.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Design and Build:

Redmi has once again captured the attention of consumers with its leather back and metal-like frame. The company also offers a glass finish, which adds individuality to the design and gives it a more premium appearance. It can be argued that Redmi has spent some time on design since the phone feels good to hold in your hands. The camera bumps are slightly more aggressive, complementing the entire look.

On the top are an IR blaster, microphones, and a secondary speaker; on the sides are the power and volume rocker controls. The USB-C port, speaker, and primary microphone are located on the bottom side. Overall, the display bezels are symmetrical, provide a nice appearance, and are easy to hold, in my opinion. The water and dust resistance's IP68 designation is the icing on the cake.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Display:

The 1.5K AMOLED 6.67-inch curved screen, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, rivals any flagship killer on the market. The display is bright enough and delivers vivid, vibrant colours, and why not? It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, which are compatible with HDR content available on platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. In terms of responsiveness, the display absolutely met expectations. Scrolling across applications, browsers, and games is quite smooth.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Performance:

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, which is an excellent pick for the pricing. However, performance may be described as above average, and the phone can handle all of your tasks without difficulty. Speaking of the gaming experience, you will get an average gaming experience in the medium settings. Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, which can be fully charged in just 30 minutes and delivers a day's worth of backup on average use.

In terms of software, the device runs MIUI 14 and includes third-party bloatware. However, this is not a huge worry because most of them can be removed. You may not be able to remove the notifications entirely, although HyperOS is supposed to improve issues.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Camera:

Yet another impressive aspect of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is its camera. The phone gets a 200 MP primary shooter with OIS along with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. The camera, overall, performs better in the daylight and offers vivid images with great details, colours and depth. The photos after getting clicked get minor processing which helps in retaining the details. However, the processing takes a few seconds sometimes.

If you enjoy low-light photography, you may be frustrated by the lack of vibrant colours and detail. Not only that, but if you enjoy taking videos, you may not find it appealing owing to a lack of colour, accuracy, and balance. The front camera, on the other hand, has decent colours and details. Here are some samples.

Verdict:

With its well-rounded features and alluring combination of performance, photographic abilities, and pricing, the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is impressive. The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is undoubtedly a smartphone to take into consideration if you're looking for a dependable device at an affordable price.
