Redmi Note 15 5G India launch: Xiaomi has started 2026 with one of the first big smartphone launches of the year in India. Those long-standing rumours were accurate and the company has now lifted the lid on the Redmi Note 11 5G, which packs a medley of camera improvements, a sporty AMOLED display and a fresh Snapdragon processor into one popular series. The phone was launched in select global markets last month and is now ready to cater to Indian consumers, joining the crowded mid-range competitive segment.
Here is a more detailed look at what the Redmi Note 15 5G brings to the table.
Design and Display
Highlights The Redmi Note 15 5G rocks a curved AMOLED screen with a punch-hole design, which is a stunner in the sub-Rs 20k price segment. The screen is also 120 Hz, with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, so it’s good for game time and outdoor content consumption.

The company included Hydro Touch 2.0 which would make the display work just fine even if the user has wet fingers. And the panel gets TÜV Triple Eye Care certification for diminished eye fatigue. There is dust and water resistance now rated at IP66 which is still unusual for this class of speaker.
At just 7.35mm x large and weighing less than 180g, Xiaomi says this is the slimmest Redmi Note phone to date.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, you have the Snapdragon 6 gen 3 SoC inside the Redmi Note 15 5G. Xiaomi says the chip provides around 30% faster CPU performance compared to the previous generation and 10% faster GPU.
It's built to manage day-to-day multitasking, gaming and 5G connectivity in a way that doesn't tread into flagship pricing territory.
Camera Capabilities
Photography is a big part of the year. There's also a 108-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and the ability to record in 4K. The sensor on board is the Samsung HN9, which has been bundled with Xiaomi’s MasterPixel technology that promises better colour accuracy, HDR performance and low-light photography.
On the software front, Xiaomi also threw in some of its own AI tools, like AI Erase and AI Remove Reflection, as well as improved portrait features that now come with multi-focal zoom capabilities.
Battery and Charging
Powering the device is a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Xiaomi claims the phone can last up to 1.6 days of usage time on a single charge. The battery is also rated to maintain strong health for up to five years, according to the company, and they're generally focusing on long-term reliability.
Colours and Build
The Redmi Note 15 5G will come with three colour options in India:
- Black
- Mist Purple
- Glacier Blue

Redmi Note 15 5G: What’s in the Box?
The Redmi Note 15 5G boasts of a curved AMOLED display, a 108MP OIS camera setup, solid battery life and an upgraded Snapdragon chip as it aims to firm Xiaomi’s command on the mid-range 5G segment in India. Its thin build and display attributes in particular nudge it closer to premium territory without reaching quite as far into flagship pricing.
Pricing and availability specifics may leave some sting in the tail here, but on paper at least the Redmi Note 15 5G is looking like one of Xiaomi’s most all-around solid Note-series phones yet.
