New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Telecom operator Reliance rolled out its latest JioFiber plans on Thursday. The launch date was announced at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 12. The broadband service is set to offer Internet speed starting at 100 Mbps up to 1 Gbps. On purchase, the company will provide you a set-top box, landline service, Jio Internet of things (IoT) services and free 4K TV (only in Jio Forever plan).
Plans and offers
Reliance JioFiber plans start at Rs 699 per month and go up to Rs 8,999 depending on speed and the company is offering free landing voice calling service.
The company's bronze plan comes at Rs 699 includes 150 GB (100 +50 GB extra) for 30 days at 100mbps speed, free voices across the country, TV video calling, gaming, home networking.
Silver Plan at Rs 899 includes 400 GB (200 GB + 200 GB extra) for 30 days at 100 mbps, free voice calls, TV calling/ video conferencing, gaming and home networking services.

Simultaneously, Reliance JioFiber's Diamond plan at Rs 2499 will offer 500 Mbps of speed with 1250 GB data + 250GB extra. The platinum plan at Rs 3,999 will offer 1GBPS of speed with unlimited 2,500GB data. Its costliest Titanium plan at Rs 8,499 will include 1GBPS speed with 5,000GB unlimited data.
A security amount of Rs 999 will be charged for using up to five devices.
Application process
The application process of the Reliance JioFiber is quite simple. All you need is to apply for the broadband connection on its website. Fill in the details such as name, address and verify via an OTP. But, first you need to check if the service is available in your area or not. As per a report, around 5 lakh people have already applied for a JioFiber connection.

JioFiber broadband will be available across major cities and town of India. However, as of now, Giga Jio Fiber connections are available in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Surat, Vadodara, Chennai, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Surat, Agra, Meerut, Vizag, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Haridwar, Gaya, Patna, Port Blair, Punjab and some more states.
Rivalry
The new service will face challenges against Airtel Xstrem and Bharti Airtel. The latter provides streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos and Hotstar. Airtel Xstream subscribers get access to ZEE5, Hooq, Hoi Choi, Eros Now, HungamaPlay, ShemarooMe, Ultra and Curiosity Stream for the first year after which user will need to pay a nominal charge of Rs 999 to continue.
Note: Reliance JioFiber will allow users to watch movies on release day at home via a disruptive concept. The service is slated to launch by the mid of 2020.
