Galaxy AI Features: Samsung showcased a host of AI features at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. Soon after the event, the company confirmed a list of devices that will get some of these features before June 2024. While the tech giant did not share the list of features that will be available on older devices, Android expert Mishaal Rahman spotted hints of what could be in stores.

Rahman added on X (formerly Twitter) that the Galaxy AI features - Circle to Search, Live Translate, Note Assist and Photo Assist will arrive on eligible older flagships, according to Samsung's UK website. Earlier, the company told Android Authority that Galaxy AI features will arrive in the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and Tab S9 series.

Circle to Search allow users to search for things on the phone's screen by circling, scribbling or tap without switching apps. Live Translate allows real-time translations during calls. Note Assist helps with formatting and summarisation in Samsung Notes, and Photo Assist can add Generate Edit and offer Edit Suggestion in the Gallery app, @MishaalRahman posted. These features will remain free until 2025 and arrive on eligible older models.

The arrival of 'Writing Assist' within Samsung Keyboard for translations of chats, optimising writing style and fixing spelling and grammar is unknown at the moment. Plus, it is not clear whether Interpreter, Transcript assist and Summaries in Samsung Voice Recorder, Summarise and Translate in Samsung Internet, generative AI wallpapers, photo ambient wallpaper and Instant Slow-mo in Samsung Gallery will arrive on these phones or not.

The Galaxy AI features will likely debut with the OneUI 6.1 update on supported phones. Readers must note that AI features may not arrive on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4 series. Hence, if you have the latest Samsung foldables, flagship tablets or Galaxy S23 series devices, you will get to experience the Galaxy AI magic in the future.
