Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Update: We saw a glimpse of the Galaxy Edge 25 Edge at the Galaxy Unpacked event that unfolded in January this year, and after months of speculation, Samsung has finally given us a date on which this device will finally be unveiled, and that is May 13, 2025, which is just next week. In Korea the official debut will take place at 9AM in Korea, and in India it will happen at 5:30AM.
The smartphone maker has confirmed that the device will sport the latest flagship-level performance and features and will also include Galaxy AI, something that has been a lot of buzz since One UI 7 started rolling out. On top of that, the Galaxy S25 Edge will also come with a 200 MP primary camera. Let's take a look at what has been revealed so far through leaks, rumours and speculations.
Specs and Features of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be a premium offering, with leaks hinting at a 6.7-inch OLED display featuring a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. Durability also seems to be a priority, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 likely covering the front.
Under the hood, you can expect the S25 Edge to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 'For Galaxy' chip paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It will reportedly run Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 skin and is said to include the latest Galaxy AI tools baked in.
As for the cameras, Samsung could pack a 200MP main sensor with OIS and 2x in-sensor zoom, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Selfies and video calls might be handled by a 12 MP front camera.
Rounding things out, the phone is rumoured to carry a 3,900 mAh battery with support for 25 W fast charging—reasonable for a device in this category, though not groundbreaking.
Galaxy S25 Edge Design Architecture
From the glimpse we got at the Unpacked event, it definitely seems like the slimmest Galaxy smartphone yet, and a pill-shaped vertical camera module was also visible with an LED flash. On the front, an obvious punch-hole camera can also be spotted. There are no official details on the dimensions of the device, but speculations suggest it could measure up to 6.23 x 2.97 x 0.23 inches (158.2 x 75.5 x 5.84 mm). For dust and water resistance we can expect the device to come with an IP68 rating.
Galaxy S25 Edge Expected Price in India and USA
If rumours and speculations are to be believed, then the Galaxy S25 Edge could cost you around $1,099 and $1,199 in the US, which would translate to Rs 94,800 to Rs 1,03,400 approx. in India.
